How to Create the Perfect Oil Foundation

Winter can be tough on your skin, making it essential to have a foundation routine that not only provides coverage but also nourishes and hydrates. Our two hero products, Mineral Goddess Loose Powder Foundation and Goddessey Skin Nutrition Beauty Serum, are perfect for creating a flawless, dewy look that combats the drying effects of winter weather. Here’s how to make the perfect oil foundation using these products.

Step 1: Mix Your Foundation
Start by dispensing 3-4 drops of the Goddessey Skin Nutrition Beauty Serum into the palm of your hand. Our Beauty Serum facial oil is packed with nourishing nutrients that will keep your skin moisturized and radiant all day. Next, add the Mineral Goddess Loose Powder Foundation in your shade. The amount of powder you use will determine the coverage, I recommend using around a 10 cent piece.
Mix the serum and powder together in your palm until you achieve a smooth, blended consistency.

Step 2: Apply the Foundation
Ensure your face is freshly prepped with your regular skincare routine. This means your skin should be clean, toned, serums applied and ready for its moisturizing oil foundation blend. After your choice of cleanser, we recommend our Beauty Tonic toner to rebalance your skin's pH level, followed by our Kakadu Plum Extract Concentrate as your face and eye serum.

Once your skin is ready, take the mixed foundation and massage it onto your face. Use your fingers to press the product into your skin, ensuring even coverage. This method helps the foundation blend seamlessly, giving your skin a natural, radiant finish. If you desire a heavier coverage I would then do a dust of your Mineral Goddess Powder over the top.

Step 3: Set Your Foundation
To keep your foundation in place and reduce unwanted shine, lightly buff our translucent mattifying Xtra-matt setting powder over your face. Focus on areas that tend to get oily, such as the T-zone (forehead, nose, and chin). This step ensures your makeup stays put and keeps shine at bay.

If you want to shine in the right places, we recommend adding a touch of glow with some cream highlighter Halo to the high points of your face:

- Cheekbones
- Brow bone
- Cupid’s bow

This will enhance your features and add a subtle, luminous finish to your look.

By following these steps, you can create a perfect oil foundation that not only provides excellent coverage but also keeps your skin hydrated and glowing throughout the winter months. Lastly, complete your makeup look to your desired style. Don't forget to add some blush for a pop of colour, and be sure to enhance your eyes and lips to complete your look!
