At Kylie's Professional, we have loved working with Amanda Rootsey from Shine from Within over the years, helping and sharing the makeup side of things for her wonderful youth workshops for tween and teenage girls!
I first met Amanda Rootsey while doing her makeup for a runway show. We got chatting and I just loved Amanda's kind heart, gentle nature and beautiful energy!
Amanda is the most amazing, empowering life-coach and youth mentor I have ever met! Amanda is a cancer survivor and a former international model who has been teaching and helping girls since she was just a teenager herself.
Shine from Within ’s workshops by Amanda are holistic, compassionate and nurturing, combining practical: natural skincare, makeup, styling, interview skills, and money matters with classes such as self-worth, positive body image, yoga and nutrition, to nourish the body and spirit and more.
As big fans of Amanda, it's no surprise we are very excited by Amanda's beautiful book, 'Shine from Within.' We highly recommend it to all young girls and it is also a wonderful book for parents of girls to read too. There are helpful messages and lessons for everyone!
We recently attended 'Shine from Within's' book launch and thoroughly enjoyed a huge afternoon and evening doing makeovers and sharing the love and fun of makeup with all the young girls and their mums. What a truly joyous event it was!
